Welcome to Fruit Camp! We are a tattoo collective and multidisciplinary studio in Baltimore, Maryland (stolen Piscataway land), founded by tattoo artists Emi Lynn Holler and Geo McCandlish in 2019.

On our first floor, we operate an appointment-only tattoo parlor where we see clients and host guest artists; on our second, artist-practitioners of multiple disciplines run their studio practices. Fruit Camp is queer-owned, and we are striving to create a project with our collective of artists that is inclusive, welcoming, respectful and accessible.

Racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, fat-phobic, or ableist behavior is not tolerated at Fruit Camp.

We are located at 2658 Miles Avenue in the Remington neighborhood of Baltimore.

FAQs

How do I make an appointment?

Each artist books their appointments separately! Browse their pages here (found by clicking the upper left logo) and their instagram portfolios, decide who you want to work with and follow their posted booking instructions.

What are your prices?

Each artist has their own rate based on how fast they work and the limits of their sliding scale. We all tend to land within the $75-$150/hour range, and can work with you to stay within your personal budget.

What is flash?

“Flash” is a name for pre-designed tattoos. Some artists do custom work, some are flash-only, and some do a combination of both. Flash designs are often only done once, and not repeated, and are usually available in person or on the artist’s instagram.

Is Fruit Camp Accessible?

Fruit Camp is on the first floor of a doublewide rowhome. There is one step up to enter the building, and two more to get to the bathroom space. Otherwise, it is a low-fragrance space (outside of sanitation chemicals), and we strive to make any accommodations our clients may need.

Can you do [this specific tattoo]?

We are somewhat of a “boutique” studio in that we each work in our own particular style. If the piece you bring in fits well with one of our styles, or if you want one of our spins on it, then Fruit Camp might be a good fit for you!

Can I apprentice with you?

We currently have two novice tattooers doing informal ‘apprenticeships’ at Fruit Camp. We do not have the time, energy or extra budget to take on other learners at this time. All of us are self and community-taught, however, and we believe that learning to tattoo should be accessible to those interested. Short of apprenticing, if you have questions you are always welcome to shoot us an email.
